A fascinating story – Two young university graduates, Ben Francis and Lewis Morgan, identified a gap in the sportswear market and formed a new business which in 3 years has become the largest fitness wear company in the UK.

How did Ben and Lewis get started?
GymShark was started in the back rooms of mine and Lewis’ houses. I started off delivering pizzas after University. In 2012 the first GymShark website was born. Since then we have endeavoured to create unique, fitted wear which aids performance. Constantly investing our profits means that we can now manufacture and create the world’s greatest fitness wear which is worn by those who believe in what we believe – that anyone with passion and a vision can change the world.

We had a vision to change the world through a next level in fitness wear. We want to push the boundaries of what is possible through technical garments. This is now becoming a reality.

How has their time at Aston University helped them with their business?
Aston University gave us a strong basic knowledgebase in business. More importantly at Aston we met a ton of passionate, ambitious people who shared our vision, who now work with GymShark on a daily basis.

How is the business going and how are they finding being entrepreneurs?
GymShark is the UK’s largest fitness wear brand. We are working endlessly to innovate and create garments that the world has never seen. To expand on what many consider to be a technical garment and to improve the world in every way possible.

In the summer of 2015 Media Group helped GymShark to rebrand their brand new exterior offices and warehousing in Redditch.
