The client

Bravissimo is a lingerie retailer that provides lingerie, swimwear and nightwear. The company was the brainchild of the founder Sarah Templeton who in 1995 discovered a gap in the lingerie market that they could fill. From humble beginnings the organisation has grown to 25 high street locations throughout the UK with a successful mail order and online operation.

Since 2007 Bravissimo has been in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for list and in 2011 they were nominated for the Multiple Retailer of the Year award at the UK Lingerie Awards.

The challenge

As the organisation has expanded the need for catalogues has also grown and Bravissimo were finding that as their needs changed the lead times on their main production runs were extending and prices were increasing.

Media Group’s Print Management team were consulted with a brief to find a solution that would drive down costs, give shorter lead times and greater flexibility on the format of each publication.

The solution

Media analysed the future catalogue requirements of Bravissimo’s marketing operation. We looked at volumes, materials, manufacturing and mailing with a view to improving the experience in all areas.

Media then identified the best partners to deliver the solution from their network of approved suppliers and by dealing direct with the paper mills agreements were reached on the supply of the raw material.

Quality and image reproduction were vital to the Bravissimo brand so Media produced colour calibrated proofs which enabled the client to make any colour corrections prior to production.

Finally we introduced a smoother and more automated sign off procedure to help the client with their authorisation process.

The result

Media Group delivered substantial savings, reduced lead times and gave Bravissimo the flexibility they needed on product specification.
