The client
Part of huge global travel brand Intrepid Group, our client Peregrine and Gecko’s Travel offers up exciting trails and small group trips to thousands of holidaymakers every year, and are one of the most booked brands when it comes to adventure travel.
Tasked with handling the UK and European arm of their print production, it was important to ensure the printing process maintained the strong images and vibrant colours that truly reflect the fun yet professional image of this brand.
The challenge
The biggest hurdle we faced was how to keep a consistent image across the brand, given that images were sourced from all over the globe and very often wildly differed in styles, size, and colours used.
Because various agencies, printers, and images were involved in the production process, the key priorities to us were to maintain print quality, make sure the brand remained cohesive in Europe and the UK market, and ensure it met the previous high standards set out by the client in all other territories they cover.
The solution
We spoke with the brand’s Australian printers to establish the benchmark our client had previously set for their print materials. We determined precise colour profiles, discerned quality benchmarks like ISO and fogra standards, and learned what colour management and print checks the client had in place.
Media Group sourced the same production materials in Europe that had previously been used in the Australian run.
We also implemented key pre-flight rules for accurate colour correction and checking, to ensure every single page of each and every brochure remained consistent, and to make certain we missed nothing before sending final print proofs on to the client.
The outcome
We ensured quality standards remained in line with the brand’s previous production.
Although Media Group’s location is over 10,000 + miles away from our client’s headquarters, due to our efforts, Peregrine now considers us to be not just a business partner but a vital part of their operation.
